This is a traditional Greek Gyro Recipe with a backwoods twist using venison steak from your recent trip afield. My Wife is a first generation Greek immigrant who is always soundly beating me in the kitchen with her culinary prowess. After 10 years I have learned enough watching her cook to combine the flavors of Greece with the wild taste of a Mule Deer Buck.
Birria is a famous Mexican stew or soup made with chili peppers and traditionally goat meat. It originated in the areas of Jalisco and Michoacán, as I understand, but continues to grow in popularity worldwide, with many variations popping up on social media.
My passion for the Grasslands of America is evidenced through this organizations literature over the past 5 months. In the mountains you never feel alone, as you are surrounded by the purple majesty of innumerable wonders. The plains by contrast are full of melancholy, the howling wind and vastness of sky are constant reminders of loneliness. In this landscape I find peace.

Lobster mushrooms are one of those unmistakable mushrooms, and also happen to be the aftermath of two forms of fungi attacking one another. Prior to the “attack” lobster mushrooms are actually mildly poisonous until the second fungi, attaches and “attacks” the prior which is when you see the fruiting portion of this incredible mushroom breach the surface in that unmistakable “cooked lobster” orange that also has a slight aroma of crab or lobster. This Soup is a great soup when corn is abundant and sweet and fresh wild Dungeness is in peak season. It also comes together in one pot in under an hour. Add a loaf of your favorite sourdough and dam if it isn’t one of the best meals around.
