The Mule Deer Foundation is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all visitors to our Website. The following policy describes how we use information we receive from visitors to our site.
On this page you will find the following:
VISITOR PROTECTION
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and who are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
Except for Web site hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our Web site, we do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us unless we receive your express consent in advance.
COOKIES
When you visit this site, we may leave a “cookie” in the memory of your Web browser.
Cookies are bits of electronic information that a Website operator can transfer to your hard drive to help tailor and keep records of your visit to the site. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet and many Web sites use them, including ours. Cookies allow us to better customize your visits to our site to your individual preferences. We also contract with third-party service providers who assign cookies (which do not contain any personally identifiable information) to conduct site tracking for us. These companies use cookies solely to provide us with aggregate data about site traffic. Although most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can usually change your browser to prevent that or notify you whenever you’re sent a cookie. If you prefer, you can set your browser to refuse cookies. However, if you do that, some parts of this site and other sites may not work as well.
LINKED WEBSITES/HYPERLINKS
MDF does not endorse, nor is MDF responsible for the accuracy of, the Privacy Policies and/or Terms and Conditions of any of the third-party links from the MDF Web site.
Links to other sites are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute endorsements or recommendations by MDF or its faculty of those sites, or the information, materials, products or services contained on or accessible through the sites, and users’ access and use of such sites, including information, material, products and services on those sites, is solely at the risk of the users.
E-MAIL HARVESTING
E-mail Harvesting Bots (automatic programs that collect e-mail addresses from Web sites by scanning HTML for @ symbols and other criteria) are a constant problem for the World Wide Web and Internet Community. While MDF does not promote the distribution of its member’s e-mail addresses, they may be harvested from this Web site and used for unsolicited e-mail messages. By having your e-mail address posted on this Web site you accept the possibility of having your e-mail address harvested and used for SPAM purposes.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using this site, including, without limitation, signing up for offers or news, and/or agreeing to receive information from MDF, you agree to the MDF Privacy Policy. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. All Privacy Policy changes will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Web site. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of the MDF Web site or acceptance of our e-mails following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept these changes.
CHANGES TO OUR POLICY
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the date of the change. This policy was last modified on August 30, 2023.
