Join an Event Near You
No matter your interest hunting, shooting, golfing, or habitat work there’s an MDF event waiting for you. Find your local chapter and get involved today. Together, we are ensuring a future for mule deer, black tailed deer, and the wild places they depend on.
Tag and Hunt Auctions
Each year, MDF chapters and partners host auctions for coveted big game tags and exclusive hunting opportunities across the West. Funds raised directly support state wildlife agencies, habitat restoration, and access projects, ensuring that these once in a lifetime hunts contribute to the future of mule deer.
Other Events
Pheasant Hunts
MDF’s hosted pheasant hunts offer members a chance to get outdoors, share time with fellow hunters, and sharpen their wingshooting skills, all while supporting mule deer conservation. These hunts often serve as chapter fundraisers and are a great way to bring new sportsmen and women into the conservation community.
Golf Tournaments
Not every conservation event has to take place in the field. Our golf tournaments mix friendly competition with fundraising for mule deer habitat and research. Whether you are driving for show or putting for dough, these events are a fun, accessible way to support the Mule Deer Foundation mission.
Clay Shooting Events
MDF clay shoots combine marksmanship and camaraderie. Participants compete in sporting clays, trap, or skeet while raising funds for local conservation work. These events are perfect for introducing new shooters to the sport and promoting responsible, ethical firearms use.
Learn to Hunt Programs
The Mule Deer Foundation proudly hosts “Learn to Hunt” programs for veterans and youth hunters, teaching the skills, ethics, and traditions of responsible hunting. These mentored hunts provide safe, hands on experiences and foster the next generation of conservation minded outdoorsmen and women.
Banquets
Our annual banquets are the backbone of the Mule Deer Foundation’s chapter network, an evening where conservation meets community. Members and guests come together for dinner, raffles, auctions, and camaraderie, all to raise funds for local habitat projects and youth programs. These events are a celebration of conservation success and a way for every attendee to make a tangible difference.
Volunteer Habitat Projects
MDF volunteers roll up their sleeves to make a difference where it matters most, on the ground. From native vegetation planting in post fire landscapes to guzzler development in arid regions, our chapters lead hands on projects that provide critical food and water for deer and other wildlife. These events give members a direct connection to conservation in action.
