The Mule Deer Foundation is hosting a lottery drawing for the Treasure State’s most coveted big game tag. Contrary to the past where this exclusive tag has been all but unattainable behind a pay to play auction system; in 2025, we are hosting an open raffle with a price tag available to all who are interested.
This tag lottery is open residents and non-residents alike. The winner will get an antlered mule deer tag valid in any hunt unit in the state including hard-to-draw units like 270 known for incredible opportunities (Thanks to the diligent and continuous habitat work by the Mule Deer Foundation)

The Lottery proceeds will go to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to support mule deer conservation and habitat work. Rather than just one person supporting this beneficial conservation work, we all have the opportunity to chip in what we can, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.
