MDF and BDF Announce new Chief Fundraising Officer!

I am happy to announce that Eric Sharpe will be our new Chief Development Officer at MDF.  Most of you are familiar with Eric as he is currently our Regional Director for the South Dakota/Nebraska region and has also gained some fame as the contributing writer for recipes and cooking in the quarterly MDF magazine.

Eric grew up in Helena Montana with a family that was heavily involved in the outdoors, conservation, and government. Eric has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York with Honors, Le Point Rouge-Stage in Le Mans France and Greystone in Napa Valley. His career path has been one of successful entrepreneurship and leadership along with a continuous passion for the outdoors. Eric loves to spend free time with his wife and two boys hunting, fishing, and cycling the Black Hills and prairies of South Dakota which he now calls home. For the past 7 years, Eric has been a seasonal big game guide in Montana and Wyoming while managing several hospitality venues including wild game culinary education, private clubs, and a successful retail consulting business. Eric has also successfully led a team in International Development and Sales for Strider Sports in North, South, and Central America. Eric looks forward to sharing his passion for the outdoors and growing the footprint of MDF across the country.

We plan to expand our Development Office efforts considerably as we work with individuals and foundations in the community that look to offer philanthropical support to Mule Deer and Black-tailed Deer and our conservation mission. To be successful in sharing our story with external parties we may ask you at times to share some of the work you are involved with in the field and some of the associated successes you are achieving.
