India Young – NW CO Sagebrush Conservation Partnership Coordinator

India is a Colorado native whose love for the outdoors began at an early age. She grew up hiking and camping in the Rockies. Her passion for wild spaces and the creatures which inhabit them grew when she moved to Grand Junction, CO to pursue her degree in Environmental Science and Technology at Colorado Mesa University. She has gained experience in managing livestock grazing and sustainable agriculture practices through positions with the US Forest Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Colorado State University. She looks forward to focusing on habitat and wildlife conservation in her position as the NW CO Sagebrush Conservation Partnership Coordinator.

In her free time, India can be found backpacking, skiing, trail running or doing anything which allows her to enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado.
