Golden Opportunity Deer Tags are valid statewide, from the second Saturday in July and extending through December 31 of the valid hunt year. A tagholder may take any legal buck, using any legal method of take for deer. Tagholders shall report to the Assistant Chief, Law Enforcement Division at the appropriate Department of Fish and Game Regional Headquarters prior to hunting as to the time and area they intend to hunt.
