Ella Hartshorn – GIS Coordinator/Data Manager
Ella Hartshorn (she/her) is a spatial ecologist who investigates how wildlife navigate dynamic landscapes and human pressures using remote sensing and geospatial techniques. Passionate about conservation, she focuses on developing strategies that promote coexistence between wildlife and western livelihoods. Previously, she worked as a Lead GIS Analyst & Ecologist at the O’Connor Center for the Rocky Mountain West, where she managed wetland mapping and delineation projects. She holds an MS in Geospatial Data Science and Conservation Ecology from the University of Michigan and a BA in Environmental Science from Colorado College. When she’s not working, you can find Ella trail running, climbing, skiing, or indulging in her slightly over-the-top obsession with Formula 1.
