Growing up in Mandan, North Dakota, Dave was introduced to outdoor recreation at a very young age. His family was pivotal in establishing his passion for the outdoors and helping him develop into a responsible and ethical sportsman. Dave spent much of his time during the summers of his youth planting trees with his Aunt and Uncle and engaging in volunteer activities with local conservation organizations. In addition to hunting deer, Dave enjoys chasing upland game and waterfowl with his Brittany, and pursues turkeys every spring. He also takes advantage of both open water and ice fishing opportunities in North Dakota and Minnesota and enjoys sharing his love of the outdoors with his wife and daughter. Dave joins us with a background that includes a bachelor’s degree in Zoology, soil conservation work with the West McLean Soil Conservation District, a full-time position as an instructor in the North Dakota Army National Guard and work as a Veteran Resource Outreach Director.
