Brianna Russo – Arizona Cooperative GIS and Migration Biologist

Brianna is a deep-rooted Arizona native, where she earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Arizona, worked as a Research Biologist for the Arizona Game and Fish Department for 6 years, and will be graduating from Arizona State University with a M.S. in Wildlife Biology in 2023. Her thesis analyzes mule deer habitat selection in relation to urbanization, as well as landscape connectivity across Arizona and the Mexico border. Brianna has also worked with wolves, flying squirrels, cormorants, and herpetofauna, but considers herself a mule deer biologist at heart. When she is not studying critters, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and exploring new places.
