Barry’s love of the outdoors came from his early childhood as a Cub Scout working his way up thru the ranks to eventually becoming an Eagle Scout. Following in his dad’s footsteps, hunting has become an important part of his life. Growing up in Washington State and then settling in Idaho, Barry’s love of hunting and fishing continues as he passes these traditions on to his daughter and son. His willingness to give back to what he enjoys brought him to volunteering with non-profit conservation organizations. First volunteering in 1986, he has held several volunteer positions including Chapter Treasurer, Chapter Chairman, District Chairman, Zone Chairman and eventually becoming a Regional Director. As a Regional Director for MDF, Barry’s greatest satisfaction comes from the local conservation projects that are done thru chapter rewards.
