Alex Elantri – Habitat Project Manager
Originally from the east coast, Alex gained a love and appreciation for the outdoors while in Texas where he attended college. It was during college that he began hunting and fly-fishing. After graduating, he worked for the National Park Service as an intern in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As an intern, he began thinking of natural resource management and conservation as a career path. Following his time with the park service, Alex went west to Montana to work as a Wildland firefighter with the BLM and US Forest Service. While fighting fire, he learned to love and appreciate the public lands and wilderness areas of the state he now calls home. Alex feels grateful to be a part of the Mule Deer Foundation and its mission of improving mule deer and wildlife habitat in Montana and across the west. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fly-fishing, and hiking with his dog, Rebel.
