Shawn was born and raised in Wyoming, and since an early age, has taken advantage of the wildlife, open spaces, and outdoor spaces throughout his home state. Acknowledging the need to preserve these precious resources for future generations, Shawn pursued a career path conserving wildlife and habitat. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management and Biology from the University of Wyoming. Over the past 15 years he has worked for and/or volunteered for various wildlife conservation organizations and agencies around Wyoming. Joining the staff of MDF in 2019, Shawn feels fortunate to have the ability to help conserve mule deer, the Icon of the West, while preserving our great hunting heritage for future generations.
