Kirk was introduced to the outdoors by hunting and fishing with his father and two older brothers in southwest Montana. He attended college in Salem, OR at Willamette University, earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. After a short career in professional baseball and sales, his love for the outdoors and conserving that precious resource caused him to seek a career move that more closely aligned with his passions. Having volunteered or worked for various conservation organizations since 2015, Kirk is excited to bring his experience to MDF and BDF. Outside of work, Kirk enjoys giving back to the community by officiating various youth sports and chasing birds with his beloved Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Ash.
