Tyler was born and raised in Utah, where he gained a love for the backcountry. He spent seven years working for the Forest Service on a Fire Use Module out of Southeastern Utah where his passion for the outdoors only grew. With the Forest Service, in addition to working on wildland fires, he was able to work on many fuels reduction projects to help improve the health of the forest. Tyler feels lucky that he gets to work on the MDF Conservation team to be able to continue helping forest habitats. When he isn’t working, Tyler enjoys building DIY projects or going into the backcountry whether it’s on a mountain bike, skis or hiking.
