Membership Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) is seeking a candidate to work as a Membership Services Coordinator. The Coordinator’s responsibility will be to process, track, and maintain MDF data for membership and donor programs. The Membership Services Coordinator is a vital component of the MDF Team and reports to the Director of Operations.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, MDF’s mission is to ensure the conservation of mule deer, black-tailed deer, and their habitat. We accomplish our mission through local grassroots volunteers, dedicated staff, and partnerships with other conservation organizations and state and federal agencies. 


  • Ensure efficient and accurate data entry of member information. 
  • Processing, tracking and completion of membership and donor programs. 
  • Serves as a liaison to National Headquarters and Field staff who collect and maintain member and prospect data. 
  • Assists with development of the membership and donor portion of the MDF CRM database. 
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the MDF CRM database. 
  • Execute annual audit of current MDF Membership programs, forms, etc. 
  • Assist with preparing annual giving reports. 
  • Execute the delivery of donor letters, yearend giving documentation and other items. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to members, donors, staff and supervisor. 
  • Support RD team with membership reports, processing event mailers, etc. 
  • Collect and record detailed correspondence with members in the CRM database. 
  • Continually seeks efficiencies for membership data acquisition, data entry and quality control. 
  • Develop and maintain regular membership reports and membership dashboards to evaluate success of acquisition and retention efforts.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in MS programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in data management and quality control.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills.

 Education and Experience: 

  • Degree in business management or related field or 2 years relevant work experience in customer or membership management or database management. 

Physical Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds. 
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for long periods of time. 
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

Reports to: Director of Operations
Location: MDF National Headquarters Clearfield, Utah / Remote work may be considered.
Classification: Salaried/Exempt
Salary: $50-65K, DOE plus benefits (Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401K)
Travel: Successful candidate may have occasional overnight travel.
Start Date: February 21, 2024
