Mule Deer Foundation & Heartland Bowhunter Extend Ambassador Partnership
Salt Lake City, Utah: The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) announced today that it has extended its partnership with Heartland Bowhunter (HB) for another two years. HB has just completed its tenth season on the Outdoor Channel, and MDF has been a supporter for the past four years. The extended partnership recognizes the value HB hosts Mike Hunsucker and Shawn Luchtel bring in educating the public about wildlife conservation and the benefits of sound habitat enhancement across the western and midwestern landscapes, all while sharing their exciting hunting adventures.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Mike, Shawn and the entire HB Team. HB’s unique storytelling capability combined with their increasing passion for western hunting resonates very well with our members and our mission,” commented Brian Fienhold, chief operating officer for the Mule Deer Foundation. “HB’s broad viewer reach also introduces MDF to an entirely new group of hunters and conservationists. Accordingly, as we look to the future and our efforts to broaden the MDF footprint, I expect our partnership with HB to play a key role.”
While HB has its roots in the Midwest, the HB team spends a significant amount of time hunting in the western United States. Through that, they have been inspired and challenged on a number of mule deer hunts and are able to provide an interesting perspective to other whitetail hunters looking to hunt the west for the first time. Luchtel and Hunsucker attend MDF’s Western Hunting & Conservation Expo each year, hosting seminars on DIY mule deer hunting in the high country and providing archery hunting tips and tactics.
“We couldn’t be more excited to continue our partnership with an organization such as MDF who plays such a pivotal role in protecting one of our greatest passions. They are at the forefront of conservation and habitat improvement across the western US where mule deer and black-tailed deer call home,” said Mike Hunsucker.
“Our partnership with MDF has become an alliance in spreading the awareness of mule deer conservation beyond the western states, into the midwest and eastern portions of the country. MDF has helped give us a voice in promoting the future of mule deer to current and future generations of hunters,“ said Shawn Luchtel.
