Colorado Hunter Drawn for Colorado Special Deer License
Salt Lake City, Utah: The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) announced today that Todd Clark of Fairplay, Colorado won the drawing for the Colorado Special Deer License, that took place yesterday at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office in Pueblo, CO.
Todd is thrilled to have won this amazing tag and hunting opportunity. He’s an avid mule deer hunter and conservationist attending the MDF Woodland Park chapter banquet each year in the support of wildlife.
Colorado has an active mule deer conservation program working to restore habitat and rebuild populations of this iconic game species. Funds generated from the raffle have been used to support MDF’s mission in Colorado as well as a variety of projects that will benefit mule deer in the state. The Mule Deer Foundation works closely with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to administer the raffle drawing.
“The Mule Deer Foundation appreciates the opportunity to partner with Colorado Parks and Wildlife on offering the mule deer tag to raise funds for the conservation of mule deer and their habitat,” said Miles Moretti, MDF President/CEO. “MDF has a unique opportunity to market this tag to big game hunters throughout the country, which in turn benefits conservation efforts in the state of Colorado for mule deer and their habitat,” continued Moretti.
“Programs like the Colorado Special Deer License raffle provides a great opportunity for the state agency to raise revenue for their mule deer conservation programs. We’d like to thank every conservationist that purchased a ticket for this drawing because it’s support like this that can make a big impact on conservation efforts within the state of Colorado,” noted Marty Holmes, MDF’s Regional Director for the state of Colorado.
