Mule Deer Foundation’s Arizona Regional Director John Gebhart

Salt Lake City, Utah: The Mule Deer Foundation recently brought on John Gebhart as the regional director for the state of Arizona. Gebhart will engage directly with MDF’s chapters in Arizona to support their fundraising and on-the-ground conservation efforts. In addition, Gebhart will be working to build new chapters and increase volunteer engagement on key issues impacting mule deer in the state. The Mule Deer Foundation has worked closely with the Arizona Game and Fish Department on conservation for many years and Gebhart will continue to build on the outstanding conservation efforts in the state.

“We are excited to have John as the Arizona Regional Director because he brings an absolute passion and knowledge of the outdoors, while being highly informed on the issues that face mule deer in Arizona. John also has solid business skills that are essential in building MDF’s presence in Arizona,” noted Mike Laughter, MDF’s Director of Field Operations. “MDF has led many great conservation projects in Arizona and we have tremendous relationships with our state and federal partners within the state. We know John will be able to make a big impact supporting mule deer in the state of Arizona.”John is an avid outdoorsman and having been so closely involved within the farming and ranching industry, this was a natural fit as these ecosystems complement each other and are

a large part of the Mule Deer Conservation efforts. Working in his home state with farmers, ranchers, state and federal contingencies in conjunction with MDF is a win for all.

“I am excited about the conservation component of my postion with MDF for mule deer in the state of Arizona,” said John.  “I am equally or even more excited about the opportunities that MDF will afford me to pass on what I’ve learned from those that taught me, to today’s aspiring hunters. I look forward to being an influencer with the support of MDF to bridge that gap and get new huters back in the great outdoors.”
