Sportsmen Against Hunger Grant
Since 2005 the Northern Badlands Chapter (Bismarck) of the MDF has been contributing $500/year in consecutive years to help local communities and also to spread the word about the MDF and show that we are good stewards in the community and in the state. In 2008, the West Dakota Chapter (Minot) joined in the partnership. This is not only a great way to help those in need, but also a great way to promote and advertise the MDF in the area.
Every dollar is used towards the cost of processing venison donated by sportsmen during deer hunting seasons. The venison is ground, packaged and frozen by local certified butcher shops for distribution to food pantries and soup kitchens in our community under the supervision of ND Community Action.
